Basmah Bouqammaz

Basmah BouQammaz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the finance and investment sector. Basmah is currently serving as the Head of Alternatives - Private Markets at the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development since January 2022. Previously, they held multiple roles at The Public Institution for Social Security, including Head of Strategic Planning & Project Management from February 2021 to November 2021, Head of Direct Investments & Private Equity Dept from April 2019 to February 2021, and Supervisor - Private Equity from March 2017 to April 2019. Prior to that, Basmah worked at the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development as a Senior Investment Analyst from March 2014 to February 2017, as an Investment Analyst from March 2011 to March 2014, and as an Investment Analyst Assistant from January 2009 to March 2011. Basmah began their career as a Trainee at the Kuwait Investment Authority from May 2007 to June 2008.

Basmah BouQammaz obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance and Financial Management Services from Kuwait University's College of Business Administration, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In addition, they have received a certification in Strategic Management from Georgetown University in May 2021.
