Waleed Albahar

Waleed Albahar currently serves as the Acting Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Economic Development and holds the position of Deputy Director General for Operations. In addition to these roles, Waleed Albahar is a Board Member at the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and acts as the Governor and Alternate Governor of the State of Kuwait for various international financial institutions, including The OPEC Fund for International Development, The World Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and the African Development Bank Group. Since 2022, Waleed Albahar has been a member of the Foreign Aid Committee at the Kuwait Ministry of Finance. Previous involvement includes representations in key committees at the Islamic Development Bank and membership on the Board of Trustees at the Arab Planning Institute.
