Amr Bahgat has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Amr is currently the Head of Internal Audit Sector at Arab Investment Bank, where they are responsible for monitoring and evaluating the bank's internal control system. Prior to this, they worked as a Part-Time Banking Instructor at the Egyptian Banking Institute, conducting risk-based audit training courses.
From 2012 to 2020, Amr held various positions at ALEXBANK, including Head of Internal Audit and Deputy General Manager. In these roles, they developed audit plans for retail banking and branch networks, prepared audit reports with objective recommendations, and managed audit teams.
Before joining ALEXBANK, Amr worked at Ahli United Bank as the Head of Credit & Treasury Audit, where they developed audit plans and reviewed procedures and controls to mitigate risks. Amr also had temporary secondments at AUB-Bahrain and Bank of Kuwait & Middle East-Kuwait for audit missions.
Amr began their career at Misr International Bank, where they served in different roles, including Senior Credit Auditor and Retail Banking Officer. Amr gained experience in credit auditing, credit administration, customer coordination, and retail banking operations.

Amr Bahgat obtained their high school education in Accounting and Finance from Salam College - Egypt, from 1979 to 1985. Amr then attended Helwan University in Cairo, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting from 1985 to 1989.
In addition to their formal education, Amr Bahgat has also pursued additional certifications. Amr obtained the Certified Bank Auditor (CBA) certification from BAI in July 2008. In September 2002, they obtained the Certified Banking Credit Analyst (CBCA) certification from The American University in Cairo. Furthermore, they obtained a Diploma in Financial Services from The Chartered Banker Institute in May 2002.
