Diego Moya

Energy & Sustainability Scientist At ETT

Diego Moya is an experienced academic and researcher specializing in energy systems modeling, economics, and sustainability. Currently serving as an Academic Visitor at Imperial College London's Sustainable Gas Institute, Diego has been involved in developing the Modular Universal energy system Simulation Environment (MUSE) since October 2017. Diego also holds positions as an Energy & Sustainability Scientist and Energy Economics and Transition Scientist at Saudi Aramco, where responsibilities include conducting global life cycle assessments and integrated assessment modeling towards Net Zero targets. Previous roles include Assistant Professor at Universidad Técnica de Ambato, Visiting Research Scholar at Griffith University, and various roles related to research and engineering. Diego earned a PhD in Energy Economics, Transition, and Policy from Imperial College London and holds a Master’s degree in Energy Systems from Griffith University, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Escuela Politécnica Nacional.
