Majed Kanfar

Majed Kanfar, PhD, currently serves as the Head of Digital Transformation at Aramco, a position held since 2016, where responsibilities include developing a Digital Transformation strategy for a large technical organization and leading a team focused on 4th Industrial Revolution applications such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Mining and Analytics, IoT, and Automation. Previous roles encompass Supervisor of the Advanced Petrophysical Modeling Group, Geomechanics Specialist, and Production Engineer in various capacities at Aramco, along with the role of Research Scientist at UNSW, contributing to low salinity water injection research. Academic credentials include a PhD in Multi-Physics Numerical Modelling from UNSW, a Master’s in Reservoir Geomechanics from UNSW, and a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Kansas, in addition to completing the Emerging Leaders Program at Harvard Business School in 2020.
