Andy Van Der Velde

Mr. Van Der Velde was appointed to his current position as Aramex’s Regional CEO in the GCC, Southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand in March 2020.

He is responsible for all day-to-day management decisions and for implementing the company’s long and short-term plans.

Mr. Van Der Velde joined Aramex in December 2011 after its acquisition of South African courier company, Berco Express. Having deep, local knowledge of South Africa’s logistics industry, he brings a distinct skill set and valuable experience to the Aramex team.

Prior to his current position, he served as the Company’s Regional CEO for Southern Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining Aramex, Mr. Van Der Velde was the Chief Executive Officer of “Berco Express” and was responsible for ensuring expansion and profitability of the company.

Mr. Van Der Velde earned his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of South Africa. He also completed a Master’s of Business Administration at the University of Pretoria (Gordon Institute of Business Science).
