Manuel Pöter has worked in the IT industry for over 17 years. Manuel's career began in 2003 when they started working as an IT Trainer at the Berufspädagogisches Institut. In 2006, they began working as a Freelance Software Engineer at LoquiSoft. In 2007, they worked as a Freelance Software Engineer at Symena. In 2008, they worked as a Software Engineer at Armstrong Consulting and then as an R&D Manager and Software Engineer at Symena. From 2016 to 2020, they were the CTO & Co-Founder at LeanFive IT GmbH, where they designed software architecture with GraphQL, RabbitMQ, NoSQL database (ArangoDB) and Docker in a microservice fashion. Manuel also developed and implemented backend services with Elixir and Phoenix, as well as frontend components with JavaScript and React. Manuel has also ensured adherence of coding standards like unit tests (TDD), clean code principals and code reviews, to maintain high code quality. Since 2020, they have been working as a Senior Software Engineer at ArangoDB.
Manuel Pöter obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Software & Information Engineering from the Technische Universität Wien in 2002, and a Master's Degree in Software Engineering & Internet Computing from the same university in 2018.
