Christian Rodriguez

Christian Rodriguez has extensive experience in the field of sustainability and climate change. Christian has worked as the Global Head of Climate Change at ARAUCO since 2010, where they promote and supports the company in their sustainability efforts. Christian is responsible for designing carbon targets, building carbon budgets, and creating actionable roadmaps for business decarbonization. Christian also oversees the company's greenhouse gas accounting and verification processes.

Prior to their role at ARAUCO, Christian worked as an Associate at SQ Consult B.V. from 2010 to 2019. In this role, they gained experience in various areas including industrial, environmental, and financial sectors.

Before that, Christian served as the Head of Carbon Project Development at Orbeo from 2009 to 2010. Christian was involved in the planning and management of verifications, issuances, and deliveries related to carbon projects. Christian also collaborated with international teams to optimize existing deals and develop new ones.

From 2007 to 2009, Christian worked as the Country Manager at OneCarbon Germany GmbH. In this role, they were responsible for drafting framework agreements, identifying low carbon emissions opportunities, and managing projects under the Clean Development Mechanism.

Christian began their career at Walmart as a Project Development Manager from 2002 to 2004.

Christian Rodriguez has a diverse education background. Christian completed their MPhil in Engineering and Management for Sustainable Development at the University of Cambridge in 2006-2007. Prior to that, they pursued an MBA in Business Administration at the University of Leeds from 2005 to 2006. Christian'sundergraduate degree, an Eng in Industrial with a Major in Chemistry, was obtained from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile during 1992-1998. Christian has also obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Stress Management in Times of Uncertainty, Strategic Thinking, Business Development Foundations, Improving Your Listening Skills, and Learning Agility.
