Shahida Mumtaz

Shahida Mumtaz is an experienced Microbiology Technologist currently working at Arbor Diagnostics since September 2019. Previous positions include Medical Technologist Microbiology at City Hospital at White Rock and Lead Microbiology Technologist at Methodist Richardson Medical Center, where Shahida specialized in microbiological procedures, bacterial culture and isolation, and test result interpretation. With a background in coordinating Point of Care testing at Forest Park Medical Center, as well as extensive experience in laboratory testing from earlier roles at MEDLABS OF IOWA and Hinsdale Hospital, Shahida has developed a strong technical and analytical skill set in microbiology. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology with a focus on Microbiology from Hinsdale School of Medical Technology, a Master's degree in Medical Microbiology and Bacteriology from Karachi University, and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Immunology from St. Joseph College.
