João Nunes

João Nunes has extensive work experience in the field of automation and robotics. João is currently serving as the Head of Automation & Robotics Manager at Arborea since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at SIEMENS Mobility sa/nv from 2018 to 2021, holding positions as Railway Control Systems Delivery Manager and Railway Control System Engineer. João also worked at Engineering Partner ApS as an Electrical and Automation Engineer in 2017, where they served as a consultant at Tresu Group. Before that, they worked at National Oilwell Varco from 2013 to 2017, holding positions as a Software Engineer and Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer. Starting their career at Refer Telecom in 2009 as an Automation Engineer, João Nunes gained valuable experience in the field. In 2008, they worked as a Researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics - University of Coimbra, participating in a European project focused on automation and robotics.

João Nunes completed their Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Automation (Instrumentation & Control) from Universidade de Coimbra. João attended the university from 2003 to 2008. Following this, in the years 2010 to 2012, João pursued another Master's degree, this time in Electrical engineering with a focus on Energy/Power Systems, at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa - ISEL.
