Alex C. has diverse work experience in the technology industry. They started their career as a Sales Representative at Ricchi in 2010 and then worked as a Software Developer Intern at HEB for two summers from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, they joined UTSA as an Undergraduate Computer Science Researcher, focusing on virtual reality games for rehabilitation.

In 2013, Alex joined Rackspace as a DevOps Engineer II, where they deployed, managed, and configured Rackspace Private Cloud Software. They also worked as a Software Developer at Rackspace, contributing to the OpenStack Ansible Deployment open-source community project and the RPC OpenStack product. They left Rackspace in 2017.

Afterwards, Alex worked at Sysco as a Software Engineer from 2019 to 2021. They then joined The Judge Group as a DevOps Engineer for a brief period before transitioning to JPMorgan Chase & Co. as an Infrastructure Developer. At JPMorgan Chase & Co., Alex worked from 2021 until 2023.

Currently, Alex is a DevOps Engineer at ArborXR, a position they started in 2023.

Alex C. completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at San Antonio, from 2009 to 2013. Then, from 2017 to 2019, Alex pursued Post-Graduate studies in Bible/Biblical Studies at Full-Time Training in Anaheim. Prior to attending The University of Texas at San Antonio, Alex also attended The University of Texas-Pan American in 2008-2009, but did not obtain a degree or field of study.

In addition to their formal education, Alex has obtained multiple certifications. They obtained certifications in Cloud Networking, Elastic Cloud Infrastructure: Containers and Services, Elastic Cloud Infrastructure: Scaling and Automation, Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Core Services, Essential Cloud Infrastructure: Foundation, and Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals: Core Infrastructure from Coursera in January and February 2018. Alex also received a Red Hat Certified Engineer for RHEL7 certification from Red Hat in April 2015, a Rackspace Openstack Certified Technician certification from Rackspace in April 2014, a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician certification from Cisco in March 2014, and a Red Hat Certified System Administrator certification from Red Hat in January 2014.

Additionally, Alex obtained a CKAD: Certified Kubernetes Application Developer certification from The Linux Foundation in January 2022, an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) (exact month not provided, obtained in 2019), an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (CLF) certification from AWS Elemental, an Amazon Web Services Company in September 2019, an Okta Certified Professional certification from Okta (exact month not provided, obtained in 2020), a Certified OpenStack Administrator certification from OpenStack in September 2016, a Cisco Certified Network Associate certification from Cisco in June 2014, and an Introduction to Cloud Foundry and Cloud Native Software Architecture certification (exact month and year not provided) from The Linux Foundation.
