Andrew Cole

Andrew Cole has extensive work experience in the field of biopharmaceuticals. Andrew started their career as a Post-doctoral research fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in 1994. After that, they worked as a Research Manager at Pharmacopeia from 1996 to 2008. From 2009 to 2010, they were a Senior Research Investigator at Ligand Pharmaceuticals. Andrew then joined Pharmasset Inc./Gilead Sciences as a Senior Principal Scientist from 2010 to 2012. Following that, they served as a Team Leader, Medicinal Chemistry at Venenum BioDesign, LLC from 2012 to 2014. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Senior Principal Scientist at OnCore Biopharma, Inc. Currently, they hold the role of Vice President, Chemistry at Arbutus Biopharma Corporation, a position they have been in since 2015.

Andrew Cole obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from the University of Southampton, where they studied from 1987-1990. Andrew then pursued a PhD in Organic Chemistry at the University of St Andrews from 1990-1993.
