Tilly Varughese

Tilly Varughese has worked as an Associate Medical Director at Arbutus Biopharma Corporation since January 2022. Prior to that, they served as an Infectious Diseases physician and Assistant Professor at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Tilly was also the Director of Transplant Infectious Diseases and an Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the same institution from November 2017 to January 2022.

Tilly Varughese earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from The City University of New York in the period between 2005 and 2010. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree from Downstate Health Sciences University, which they completed between 2010 and 2012. Tilly Varughese also holds certifications in ABIM Infectious Diseases and ABIM Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and possesses physician licenses in both New York State and the State of New Jersey. Tilly also has a certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
