Jim Frazer

Jim Frazer has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of smart cities, electrical and lighting systems, and intelligent transportation systems. Jim currently serves as the Vice President Corporate Strategy at ARC Advisory Group, where they develop research agendas and leads the marketing strategy working group. In addition, Jim has held leadership positions in various organizations such as IEEE, National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), and Illuminating Engineering Society, where they have contributed to the development and management of standards in smart cities and lighting systems. Jim is also the founder and former President of Gridaptive Consulting, a technology and support services organization specializing in the convergence of intelligent transportation systems, smart cities, and IoT. Jim's expertise spans system engineering, standard development, marketing, and software solutions in areas such as lighting, IoT, automated vehicles, and smart cities. Jim has a proven track record of success in founding and managing technology-focused companies, including Strategic Telemetry, Inc. and Surf Networks, Inc. Furthermore, Jim has served in executive roles at the US Department of Transportation (DOT) and Metra Corporation, where they spearheaded sales, marketing, and product management functions.

Jim Frazer has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University and an MBA in Strategic Management from Rider University.
