Rachel Nelson

Rachel Nelson is a dedicated special education professional with extensive experience in teaching and support roles. Currently serving as a Special Education Teacher at Frederick County Public Schools since May 2018, Rachel also works as a Community Coach at The Arc of Frederick County and has been involved with ArtStream, Inc. as an Assistant Director and Assistant Teaching Artist since October 2012. Rachel's background includes a role as a Special Education Instructional Assistant at Lincoln Elementary School and previous positions in retail and communications, enhancing skills in customer interaction and public relations. Rachel holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mount St. Mary's University, a Bachelor's degree in Communications from the University of Maryland, and an Associate of Arts from Montgomery College.
