Scottie Lawson began their work experience in 2010 at Xerox as an Apple Care Senior Technical Advisor, providing support for Mac OS X systems. Scottie worked at Xerox until 2013. Following that, Lawson joined ARCA in 2013 as a Professional Services Engineer, where they installed ARCA products and provided training and support to service partners. Scottie later became a Technical Project Manager at ARCA, managing full-scale technical projects and delivering high-quality service.

Scottie Lawson received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Project Management from Liberty University, where they studied from 2015 to 2018. They then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, which they completed from 2023 to 2024. Prior to higher education, Scottie attended Person High School from 2000 to 2004 as part of the College Technical Prep program. In terms of certifications, Scottie obtained the "CM18x Certified Technician" certification from ARCA Worldwide in July 2013 and the "CM18x Trainer" certification in February 2017. It is unclear whether Scottie obtained the "Apple Certified Macintosh Technician" certification or the institution responsible for granting it.
