Arcadia
Jan Gaasenbeek is a seasoned creative producer with extensive experience in the cultural sector. Currently serving as Creative Producer for Arcadia since January 2021, Jan is involved in developing contemporary art exhibitions. Previously, Jan was the Program Coordinator for Leeuwarden UNESCO City of Literature, focused on enhancing the multilingual literary climate in Friesland and authored the report "Lezen in Friesland." Jan held advisory and leadership roles in various organizations, including Keunstwurk, where Jan supported schools in culture education, and at Leeuwarden-Fryslân 2018, contributing to the Lân fan taal program. With a Master's degree in Theatre from the University of Amsterdam and additional studies at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, Jan possesses a strong academic background to complement practical expertise in arts management and funding.

Arcadia
Arcadia is een cultuurtriënnale, een 100-daags cultureel programma dat voor het eerst plaatsvond in Fryslân van 6 mei tot en met 14 augustus 2022. Arcadia wil de kracht van kunst en cultuur inzetten voor een betere wereld, vanuit Fryslân en met de Mienskip. De zintuigen prikkelen met theater, dans, zang, fotografie, lezingen, discussies, wandelingen, beeldende kunst, literatuur en poëzie. Grens- en sector overschrijdend. We zijn nu volop bezig met de ontwikkeling voor de editie van 2025!
