Dirk Smets is the Director of Operations for the Business Area Mobility Belgium at Arcadis since 2022, overseeing a team of sixty project managers and five portfolio managers to manage a portfolio of over 500 projects. With more than 35 years of experience in developing and monitoring infrastructure projects, Dirk has previously held roles including Manager of Quality and Operational Excellence and Operational Director of Infrastructure within Arcadis. Dirk's educational background includes a degree in Civil Engineering from KU Leuven and a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from IHAM Antwerpen.
