Xuliang Qi

XuLiang Qi is a skilled specialist in process automation with a strong background in software development and machine learning applications. Currently employed at ArcelorMittal Dofasco since February 2022, XuLiang leads the design, development, and deployment of production-critical scheduling software, achieving notable cost reductions and enhanced production quality through the implementation of heuristic algorithms. Prior experience includes roles as a machine learning application developer at the Neurophysiology & Imaging Lab at McMaster University, where XuLiang created brain-computer interface software, as well as automation system development and mechanical design positions across various organizations. XuLiang holds a Master of Engineering in Systems and Technology from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University.
