Aleksandar Rankovic

Aleksandar Rankovic has a robust background in the steel industry, currently serving as the Country Head for Greece & Balkans and Managing Director for Greece at ArcelorMittal since July 2004. Previously, Rankovic held the position of Managing Director at Balkan Steel from November 2001 to July 2004, focusing on sales of steel products across Greece, Italy, Turkey, and the Middle East. Earlier roles include General Director at Balkan Steel Skopje, where responsibilities included overseeing hot and cold rolling mills, and Chief Representative Officer for CIS operations in Moscow. Rankovic's career began as Assistant to the CEO at Schulz Warenhandels gez. in Dortmund and as Deputy Import Director at Jugolek in Belgrade. Educational credentials include a BA in Economics from the University of Belgrade, completed between 1984 and 1988.
