Kurt Spelier

Kurt Spelier is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the engineering and investments sector. Currently, Kurt serves as the Head of Engineering & Investments Department in Belgium at ArcelorMittal, where notable contributions include leading an innovative decarbonisation project and acting as the Engineering lead for DRI - Technical Design and Standardization Authority. Prior roles include serving as a Portfolio Manager and Capex Buyer, as well as Project Manager and Buyer Capex at CLUSTA, and working as a Specialist at FMC. Kurt began their career as a Project Engineer after earning a degree in Electro mechanics from Katholieke Hogeschool 'Sint-Lieven', Gent, from 1986 to 1990.
