Pedro Cardoso

Pedro Cardoso is an experienced professional in internal controls and compliance, currently serving as Gerente de Área de Controles Internos e SOX and Especialista de Governança, Riscos & Compliance at ArcelorMittal since April 2013. Responsibilities include conducting compliance audits of contracts and managing the implementation of the Control Self-Assessment methodology. Previously, Pedro held the position of Auditor Interno, executing internal audit procedures across various units in Brazil and South America, evaluating internal controls, and suggesting improvements. Pedro began a career at KPMG Brasil, where roles included Assistente de Auditoria A and B, demonstrating foundational skills in auditing and compliance. Earlier experiences include an internship at USIMINAS and Banco Central do Brasil. Pedro holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Ibmec and a postgraduate degree in Compliance from FDV, and is currently pursuing an MBA in Administration and Business at Fucape Business School.
