Jeff Thompson

Jeff Thompson is the current Global Head of Tax at Arch Capital Group. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Tax at Assurant from June 2015 to September 2019, where they were responsible for leading global financial reporting, global tax controversy review and defense, global tax technology, and consolidated Domestic Tax Return compliance.

Before Assurant, Jeff was a Tax Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers from December 2006 to May 2015, working in the Banking, Capital Markets, and Insurance Group where they assisted some of the largest insurance companies through the previous financial crisis.

Prior to their time at PwC, Jeff was a Senior Associate at Deloitte from January 2005 to December 2006. Before that, they were a Tax Associate at Moss Adams LLP from January 2004 to December 2005.

Jeff Thompson has a Masters in Science in Taxation from the University of Washington - Michael G. Foster School of Business. Jeff also has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus in Accounting from the same school. In addition, they are certified as a public accountant from the state of New York.
