Skylar Begay currently serves as a Tribal Outreach Fellow at Archaeology Southwest, where involvement in the Wyss Foundation's Wyss Fellows Program is a focal point since January 2021. Prior experience includes working as a Forestry Technician with the U.S. Forest Service from April 2019 to January 2021, contributing to the Off-Highway Vehicles trails crew in various national forests. Skylar Begay held positions at ASU Gammage in concessions from January 2014 to April 2019 and led a crew of eight as a Crew Leader for the Arizona Conservation Corps' Ancestral Lands Program in May 2015. Earlier, Skylar Begay was a Trail Crew Member with the Arizona Conservation Corps in the summer of 2014, engaging in diverse conservation projects. Skylar Begay obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Arizona State University, completing studies in 2017.
