Amartya Saha is a distinguished ecohydrologist and instrumentation specialist currently serving as a Visiting Research Associate at the University of Florida since January 2023. With extensive experience in environmental monitoring and research, Amartya has managed various instrumentation networks at Archbold Biological Station since July 2016 and contributed to multiple projects in collaboration with organizations such as SFWMD and NOAA. Previously, Amartya held positions as an Associate Scientist at Florida International University, where efforts included assessing freshwater inflow needs in Tanzania and teaching database management, ecohydrology, and remote sensing. Additional roles include coordinating ecosystem monitoring programs, conducting postdoctoral research in the Everglades, and engaging in research assistantship at both the University of Miami and Harvard University. Amartya holds a PhD in Biology and Ecohydrology from the University of Miami, an MS in Environmental Science from Indiana University Bloomington, and a B.Tech in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
