Maureen Smith

Maureen Smith is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in managing internal and external communications. Currently serving as the Director of Communications for the Archdiocese of Atlanta since October 2019, Maureen oversees digital, print, social media, and video messaging while handling media relations and crisis communications. Previously, Maureen held the position of Director of Communications for the Catholic Diocese of Jackson from September 2012 to July 2019, where collaboration with leadership focused on executing a strategic communication plan. Earlier roles include editorial work for the Mississippi Catholic newspaper, freelance writing and editing, and positions ranging from Senior Account Executive to Broadcast Production Manager at Red Square Agency. Maureen holds a Master's degree in Theology and a Bachelor's degree in Radio, Television, Film & Theology from Spring Hill College.
