Sara Seligmann

Regional Director For The Catholic Social Action Office at Archdiocese of Cincinnati

Sara Seligmann has a diverse work experience in various roles within the Catholic Church and education sector. Sara started their career in 2008 as a Physical Education Teacher/Jesuit Volunteer at Dolores Mission School, where they focused on creating a positive learning environment and addressing social justice issues. Sara then worked as a Catholic Worker at Grace Place Catholic Worker House, providing housing and support for homeless women and children. Sara later became an Anti Death Penalty Staff person at Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center, advocating against the death penalty. Sara then moved on to Notre Dame Academy, where they taught Sophomore and Junior Religion, covering scripture and church history. At St. Mary Catholic Central, they taught Theology to both Senior and Sophomore students, incorporating social justice topics into their lessons and facilitating class discussions and retreats. Sara also worked at Ladywood High School as a Theology Teacher, teaching various theology courses and leading retreats and events. Sara then interned and served as a Resident Minister at Santa Clara University, engaging in social justice work and providing support to students. Sara'smost recent position was as the Director of Youth Ministry at Holy Trinity Church, where they oversaw the youth ministry program. Currently, Sara serves as the Regional Director for the Catholic Social Action Office at the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.

Sara Seligmann completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Theology, Peace Studies, and Religious Education at Xavier University from 2005 to 2008. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Pastoral Ministries at Santa Clara University, which they successfully completed from 2013 to 2015.
