Katie Benjamin Steed has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of art direction and graphic design. Katie started their career as a Creative Intern at Combustion Design & Advertising, where they created print materials for Memphis College of Art and worked on the Earth Day Sponsorship Kits for Shelby Farms.
Later on, they worked as a Graphic Designer at Auto-Chlor System, where they were involved in the production of marketing materials and the reconstruction of the company's website.
Katie then joined Contemporary Media as an Advertising Art Director, responsible for creating visually captivating and effective advertisements for various publications.
During their time at Memphis College of Art, they served as an Adjunct Faculty, guiding students in developing and managing their personal brand as emerging artists.
In 2011, Katie joined Archer and held multiple roles, starting as an Art Director, then promoted to Senior Art Director, and currently serving as an Associate Creative Director/Art Director.
Additionally, they co-founded Due South Co-op in 2018 and has been a Founding Member of the organization.
Throughout their career, Katie has honed their craft as a freelance graphic designer, collaborating with diverse clients and delivering creative solutions that meet their unique needs and objectives. Katie has expertise in various design disciplines, including branding, print materials, web design, and digital assets.
Katie Benjamin Steed obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design and Art History from Memphis College of Art, spanning from 2006 to 2009.
