Asit Kumar

Asit Kumar is a highly skilled Powertrain Modeling & Simulation Engineer currently employed at Archer since January 2023. With significant prior experience as a Control Engineer at Achates Power and an Electric Powertrain Lead at Clemson University, Asit has developed expertise in powertrain simulation architecture, predictive control, vehicle control architecture, and testing methods. Previous roles at U.S. Army DEVCOM and Mercedes-Benz Research and Development involved optimization methodologies for energy management and plant modeling for electric and hybrid vehicles. Asit holds a Master of Science in Automotive Engineering from Clemson University and a dual Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, complemented by various research and leadership roles throughout the academic journey.
