Dave Leopold

Dave Leopold is an experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as Supervisor of Aero Certification & Test at Archer since September 2022, focusing on flight characteristics, performance, and acoustic testing. Previously, Dave worked at Boeing from 2008 to September 2022, holding various engineering roles, including Principal Engineer for Aero Certification and Lead Engineer in Aerodynamics, where responsibilities included managing flight tests, supporting FAA working groups, and developing advanced aerodynamic technologies. Early career experiences include work at UW Aeronautical Laboratory and a brief tenure in flight operations engineering at Boeing. Dave holds a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautics & Astronautics, both from the University of Washington, along with a professional certificate in Global Integrated Systems Engineering.
