Ella Wu is a Senior Aerodynamics Engineer at Archer since January 2023, previously serving as an Aerodynamics Engineer. Ella's expertise was honed at the University of Michigan as a Graduate Student Research Assistant from September 2018 to December 2022, contributing to the Airbus-Michigan Center for Aero-Servo-Elasticity of Very Flexible Aircraft while focusing on large-scale aerostructural optimizations. Prior experience includes research roles at the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies, where significant contributions included developing a CFD code and creating data visualization software. As Chief Engineer for Blue Sky Solar Racing from October 2013 to October 2015, Ella led the design of the aerobody for a solar vehicle and performed aerodynamic shape optimization. Archer is designing, manufacturing, and operating a fully electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150mph while producing minimal noise. Archer's team is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
