Jon Petersen

Jon Petersen has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Jon currently holds the position of Vice President of Data Science at Archer, an aerospace company focusing on sustainable air mobility. Prior to this, Jon worked at GE Aviation as a Principal Data Scientist. Jon also has experience in the ride-sharing industry, where they served as the Head of Data Science for Uber Elevate and as a Senior Data Scientist on the Uber Pool platform. Jon's earlier roles include working as an Operations Research Scientist at Taleris, an Operations Researcher at GE Global Research, and a Solutions Manager at Sabre Airline Solutions. Additionally, they gained research experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology and as an Assistant Economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

Jon Petersen earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from the University of Minnesota in 1999 to 2003. Jon then pursued further education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Operations Research from 2006 to 2007. Subsequently, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Industrial and Systems Engineering, specializing in Optimization, at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2012.
