Matt Woods is an experienced engineering professional with a specialized focus on durability and powertrain structural analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Powertrain Structural Analysis at Archer since February 2024, Matt previously held the position of Durability CAE Manager at Apple from March 2015 to December 2023, leading the durability attributes for special projects. Prior to this, Matt worked at Ford Motor Company as the Lead Durability Engineer from January 2006 to March 2015, where expertise in chassis and powertrain durability CAE was developed. Matt began the career as a Contract CAE Engineer at Perkins Engines and held senior positions at Lotus Engineering and Advanced Analysis Ltd, demonstrating a strong foundation in CAE consultancy and analysis throughout the automotive sector. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from Kingston University, completed in 1996.
