Michael Stump

Michael Stump is an accomplished Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in propulsion motor and gearbox systems, currently employed at Archer since January 2023. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Momentus from May 2019 to January 2023 as a Propulsion Design Engineer, where responsibilities included leading a multidisciplinary team in the design and testing of propulsion assemblies for spacecraft. Michael's experience also encompasses prior engineering internships at Tesla, Apple, SpaceX, and Fresenius Medical Care North America. Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley, completed in 2019, Michael has developed expertise in spacecraft subsystems, structural design, and various engineering analysis methods.
