Zohaib Mian currently serves as the Vice President of Software, DevSecOps, and Product Cybersecurity at Archer, overseeing flight autonomy, flight controls, and powertrain systems. Previously, Mian was the Vice President of Engineering for Autonomy and AI/ML at Aptiv, leading a global team of approximately 1300 engineers. Mian has extensive experience in aerospace and autonomous systems, having held notable positions such as Head of Engineering and Chief Engineer for Space Products at Astra and Vice President of Products/Engineering at Velodyne Lidar. Additionally, Mian was involved in Loon at Alphabet Inc. as Head of Systems Engineering and led autonomous systems architecture projects at Bosch USA and United Technologies Research Center. Mian holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on Autonomous Systems from Georgia Institute of Technology, alongside a Master’s and Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Production Engineering.
