Aran Khanna has a diverse work experience that ranges from co-founding and leading their own companies to working at established organizations. In 2011, Khanna interned at Targeted Growth Incorporated, a biotech startup, where they worked on genetic engineering techniques to create a strain of cyanobacteria for sustainable biofuel production. In 2013, they interned at Microsoft Azure, where they developed a C# based data pipeline to identify the causes of infrastructure downtime and built a distributed classification engine to analyze operational data.
In 2014, Khanna worked at Novus Partners, Inc. as a software development engineer, adding features to the core platform and improving data consumption processes. The following year, they joined Marianas Labs as a software development engineer, contributing to projects such as a large-scale distributed data crawling and aggregation framework and a clustering method for identifying new object classes in images.
From 2015 to 2016, Khanna was a Research Fellow and Developer at the Harvard Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS), where they researched privacy and security vulnerabilities in products used by millions of people worldwide. Aran also spoke and wrote extensively about digital privacy, including academic papers, a TEDxBerkeley talk, and contributions to TIME magazine, the Huffington Post, and Business Insider.
In 2016, Khanna joined Amazon Web Services as an AI Engineer, co-authoring academic papers and contributing to the development of neural network compression tools. From 2018 to 2019, they co-founded Glia Intelligence, a machine learning consulting practice that focused on optimizing retail replenishment and pricing policies using deep learning models.
Most recently, in 2019, Khanna became the CEO and Co-Founder of Archera, a company that they co-founded. The specific details of their role and responsibilities at Archera are not provided.
Aran Khanna attended Lakeside High School from 2008 to 2012. Aran then went on to study at Harvard University from 2012 to 2016, where they received their A.B degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.
