Tom Plunkett

Tom Plunkett has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tom began their career as a CH-46E Crewchief in the US Marine Corps before transitioning to a VP Aviation Operations role at OC, Inc. From there, Tom worked as a Technical Staff Member as a Cyber Counterintelligence Officer at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Tom then moved on to become an Information Security Analyst with the County of Riverside and later a Digital Forensic Examiner at Stroz Friedberg, LLC. Tom then served as an Information Security Analyst III at the County of Riverside before taking on the role of Digital Forensics and eDiscovery Manager at BD. Most recently, they have held positions as the Director of Digital Forensics at Capitol Digital & Califorensics (Now ArcherHall) and as an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego. Tom currently serves as the Managing Director of Digital Forensics and E-Discovery at ArcherHall.

Tom Plunkett has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems from Strayer University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001. Tom also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, earned from 1994 to 1997. In addition, they attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 1988 to 1990, though their degree attained at this institution is unspecified. Tom Plunkett has also obtained the EnCE certification from Guidance Software in 2008 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in May 2007.
