Ángel Linares García

Computational Design Lead - eComply at Archistar.ai

Ángel Linares García has extensive work experience in the field of computational design and parametric modeling. Ángel is currently working as the Computational Design Lead for eComply at Archistar.ai since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Computational Designer at AR-MA from 2016 to 2022. Before that, they were involved with Monzón 8, diseño e impresión from 2005 to 2016, where they served as a CG, architectural modeling, and parametric design trainer. Ángel also worked as a Coding Trainer for ghPython101 ICE Course at Universidad de Sevilla in 2015. Ángel has also held various roles including MakeLab 2014 Tutor at Architectural Association, Architect for parametric design at Urban Systems Office in 2013, Cofounder of www.etsas.org Sevilla architecture students website from 2006 to 2013, Parametric design and optimization manager at Eddea Architecture and Urbanism from 2011 to 2013, Parametric design and digital fabrication tutor at Universidad de Sevilla in 2012, and Parametric design trainer at Vilniaus Arkitekturos Studija in 2012. Throughout their career, they have been involved in lecture preparation, course design, pedagogical strategy, and utilizing software tools such as Rhino3D, Grasshopper, Vray, 3dsmax, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.

Ángel Linares García obtained a Master's Degree in Architecture from the Universidad de Sevilla in 2015. In 2011, they participated in the Workshop Latitudes VI at Delft University of Technology, focusing on Landscape Architecture. Additionally, they attended the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in 2008, where they completed the WAW workshop 01, specializing in Digital Fabrication.

Ángel also holds certifications such as the TOEFL IBT (102/120) from The TOEFL® test, obtained in April 2016. Furthermore, they are a Mcneel Authorized Trainer certified by Robert McNeel and Associates, achieved in May 2009.
