Dennis Ong

Dennis Ong has a long and varied work experience. Dennis started out as an Engineering Intern at Teleplan International in 2009, then moved on to become a Lab Tutor at the University of New South Wales in 2011. In 2013, they co-founded StartupGenie.co, a startup management platform. In 2014, they became a Senior Full Stack Developer at 4mation Technologies Pty Ltd, where they tech-led the building of the Manifest Cloud app. In 2016, they founded PongUp!, a ping pong leaderboard, and in 2017 they became the CTO & Tech Lead at Whispli, an enterprise SAAS platform. In 2018, they founded drawSQL, an online diagram editor for developers, and in 2019 they became a Web Development Consultant at Launch Factor. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Archistar.ai as an Engineering Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer.

Dennis Ong received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications from UNSW in 2011. Afterward, they continued their studies at UNSW and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications in 2014.
