Ryan Johann

Ryan Johann began their professional career in 2018 as a Computational Designer at ArchiStar.ai, where they translated client needs into computational scripts using C#/Rhino/Grasshopper, documented work, analyzed results, communicated, and presented insights to senior management. Ryan also designed and communicated comprehensive strategies for designing buildings, planning neighborhoods, with attention to factors such as building code, land-use, and building processes. Additionally, they completed an internship with ArchiStar.ai, developing parametric algorithms to generate designs including apartment buildings and floorplans. In 2018, they also acted as a Tutor at UNSW and a Student Researcher at Aurecon.

Ryan Johann attended the University of New South Wales from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Computational Design in the Built Environment field.
