Christopher Pechacek

Christopher Pechacek, AIA, serves as the Assistant Director of Planning, Engineering, and Architecture at the Architect of the Capitol since May 2022, overseeing master plans and facility assessments with a multidisciplinary team. Prior to this role, Christopher was the Deputy Chief of Capital Strategy Management at the Defense Health Agency from May 2014 to March 2022, managing a substantial budget and a large team across multiple locations. Christopher's earlier experience at the Air Force Medical Service included leading design programs and overseeing military construction and operational spending. Christopher holds a Master of Science in Architecture Studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
