Kelly MacKinnon

Kelly Mackinnon is a seasoned academic and professional in the field of architecture, currently serving as Co-Director of University Cultural Partnerships and Associate Professor at Northumbria University since August 2007. Mackinnon has held various leadership roles at the institution, including Deputy Director of University Cultural Partnerships and Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion. In addition to academic duties, Mackinnon offers expertise as an Independent Advisor to the Prescription Committee of the Architects Registration Board since May 2018. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Architecture from The Glasgow School of Art and a Master of Architecture from the University of Strathclyde. Mackinnon has also served as an external examiner at multiple universities, including University of Strathclyde, Birmingham City University, and Kent School of Architecture, and has practical experience as a Project Architect at Anderson Bell & Christie from 2003 to 2007.
