Miguel Paredes Maldonado

Miguel Paredes Maldonado currently serves as the Head of the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and holds the position of Senior Lecturer in Architectural Design at The University of Edinburgh since June 2013. Additional roles include Director of Internationalisation at the Edinburgh College of Art, Programme Director for the BA/MA(Hons) in Architecture, and a Visiting Professor at the Beijing Institute of Technology. Miguel is also a founding partner of Cuartoymitad Architecture & Landscape, a member of the Board of Directors at APEAS, and serves as a UK Independent Adaptation Assessor for the Architects Registration Board. Miguel's academic contributions extend to roles such as External Examiner for the MArch Programme at Cardiff University and Visiting Faculty at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. With a Ph.D. in Architecture from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and extensive teaching experience across leading institutions in Spain and Italy, Miguel has established a prominent career in architectural education and practice.
