Charles Chase Aia

Charles Chase, AIA, is a Principal at Architectural Resources Group since December 2007, overseeing the firm's planning group across multiple offices and coordinating marketing efforts. As Past President of the California Preservation Foundation from May 2012 to May 2014, Chuck contributed to the advocacy for California's architectural heritage. Previous leadership roles include Past President of the San Francisco Historic Preservation Commission and Executive Director at San Francisco Architectural Heritage, managing a significant budget and staff for historic preservation initiatives. Additionally, Chuck served as City Architect and Preservation Officer for the Department of Planning, Preservation and Sustainability from 1987 to 1999, administering preservation ordinances and collaborating with various governmental entities. Chuck holds a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Florida.
