Kimbro Frutiger is an experienced architect specializing in historic preservation and new building design in heritage-sensitive areas. Currently, Kimbro serves as an architect at Architectural Resources Group, focusing on the design and technical development of preservation projects. As a partner at Architext Writing Consultancy, Kimbro contributes to architectural writing and consulting. A book project titled "Difficulties: New York City Architectural Practice 1957-73" examines post-war architectural challenges in New York City. Previous roles include significant positions at Gensler and Davis Brody Bond, where Kimbro worked on notable projects such as the National September 11th Memorial Museum and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Competitions participated in include the Navy Pier Centennial Vision and the L'Oreal Research Flagship. Kimbro holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Languages and Archaeology from Amherst College.
