Afzal Tarar has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Afzal is currently serving as an Investor & Senior Advisor at NeuroSync since July 2023. In 2015, they founded Arcis Capital Partners where they held the positions of Managing Partner, Chief Investment Officer, and Founder. At Arcis, they focused on investing in technology companies with proven business models and significant growth potential. Afzal also has experience as an Investor & Board Member at uMETHOD Health, Integrated Endoscopy, and Wahyd Group Inc. In addition, they have served as an Investor & Senior Advisor at Cerebri AI, Greene Lyon Group, Inc., and Celebration Pointe. Earlier in their career, they worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) as a Partner in Financial Services Management Consulting from November 2009 to March 2015.

Afzal Tarar has a diverse education history. Afzal attended Government College University (GCU), Lahore from 1979 to 1981, where they earned an F.Sc. degree. Afzal then pursued an education in Mandarin Chinese, completing a Mandarin Chinese Intensive Program at Beijing Language and Culture University in 1982. In 1983, Afzal Tarar studied Computer Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) at Tsinghua University, obtaining a BE degree. Afzal continued their education at Case Western Reserve University from 1989 to 1991, completing a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence). In 2007, they attended the Yale School of Management for an Executive Leadership Program. Finally, they participated in a Blue Ocean Strategy program at INSEAD until 2014, focusing on understanding the client's strategic agenda.
