Marcel Viana

Marcel Viana is an experienced technology executive currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Arco Educação since May 2024 and as an advisor and Chief Technology Officer at Kuri since October 2022. Previously, Marcel held the position of VP & Chief Technology Officer at GRUPO SBF from January 2020 to April 2022, where significant efforts were made to transform the company into a digitally native organization. Marcel's earlier roles include leading engineering teams at Grupo ZAP as CTO, overseeing the integration of merged teams, and at Viva Real, where a strong engineering culture was fostered. At Walmart.com Brazil, Marcel was instrumental in building and scaling the e-commerce marketplace team from inception to approximately 250 members. Marcel's career began in development roles, including positions at iG, Tata Consultancy Services, and Politec, alongside co-founding Concepto Internet. Marcel holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Universidade Federal da Paraíba and a graduation in Information Technology from Universidade do Sul de Santa Catarina.
