Karen Niven

Karen Niven has a diverse work experience in the retail and apparel industry. Karen is currently employed as the Manager of Sourcing (Hardgoods & Accessories) at Arc'teryx Equipment, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Herschel Supply Company in multiple roles, including Manager of Product Development from July 2021 to April 2022, Sr. Product Developer of Apparel from March 2019 to August 2021, and Product Developer of Apparel from November 2016 to March 2019. At Herschel, they were responsible for tasks such as tracking samples, providing factory instructions, managing lab dips, and researching global markets. Before Herschel, Karen worked as a Design & Merchandising Coordinator at Capilano Group from September 2012 to December 2015, as a Design & Development Assistant at Fidelity Denim from September 2010 to April 2012, and as a Design & Development Intern at LIJA from June 2010 to October 2010. Karen also gained experience as an Apparel Design Intern at Agoo Apparel Inc in July 2009.

Karen Niven obtained their Fashion Arts Diploma in Fashion Design from Vancouver Community College (VCC) from 2008 to 2010. Additionally, in May 2023, they obtained a certification in Bemis U Outerwear from Bemis Associates.
