Alana Montoya

Alana Montoya has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. Alana began their career at National Jewish Health, where they held various roles including Lab Researcher III, Lab Researcher IV, and Senior Lab Researcher. In these positions, they conducted research using molecular biology techniques such as DNA sequencing, PCR, and gel electrophoresis. Alana also performed protein purification and utilized techniques like FPLC and ELISA. Additionally, Montoya was involved in developing an attenuated strain of herpesvirus for immunocontraception.

After their time at National Jewish Health, Montoya joined Synthetic Genomics as an Associate Staff Scientist. Here, they worked on undisclosed projects related to molecular genetics.

Most recently, Montoya has been at Arcturus Therapeutics. Alana started as a Scientist I, supporting the RNA Process Development and Production Teams. Alana was responsible for optimizing IVT related processes and bioassay development.
