Nadja El-Mecharrafie began their work experience in 2012 as a Student Research Assistant at the Institute of Physiological Chemistry at the University Medical Center Mainz. In 2013, they also worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Institute of Toxicology at the University Medical Center of Mainz. Nadja then joined The Scripps Research Institute as a CIRM Research Intern from 2014 to 2015. Nadja then worked at San Diego State University as a Graduate Student and later as a Teaching Associate from 2013 to 2016. Following this, they joined Intrexon Corporation as a Research Associate III from 2017 to 2019. Currently, Nadja works at Arcturus Therapeutics as a Research Associate starting in October 2019.
Nadja El-Mecharrafie completed their education in the field of biology. Nadja earned a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in the period of 2010 to 2013. Later, they pursued further studies and obtained a Master's Degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from San Diego State University from 2013 to 2016.
